José Bedeur Octet - "70 ans de Jazz"

An organization of the House of Jazz in Hainaut in collaboration with the Lions Club Binche, T21 Hainaut and Binche Culture.

Bassist and cellist among the most active on the jazz scene, both in Belgium and abroad, José Bedeur is currently celebrating his 70-year career in jazz.

An eclectic musician in his choices, a spirited composer, hyper-polyglot with eight languages spoken fluently, a humanist of heart, a lucid philosopher, if his view of the "world and surroundings" is both direct and circumspect, he is never neutral. As Jean-Pol Schroeder pointed out, “constantly halfway between gut and intellect”…

This is also reflected in his music! Surrounded by some faithful friends, he presents here a repertoire in the spirit of the famous Jazz Messengers (Art Blakey) that he loves so much.
