Basile Rahola, bassist and double bass player, started playing the electric bass in 2001 at the
age of 7 at the IEFAR (European Institute for Rhythmic Arts Training) in Montpellier
(France). He continued his classes until the age of 13 and then with a private teacher until the
age of 16. In 2012, he participated in jazz workshops with pianist Pierre Coulon-Cerisier,
combining it with bassist Alfred Vilayleck (Gratitude Trio, Grand ensemble KOA, Peemaï...). In 2013 he entered the jazz department of ENM (National School of Music) in Villeurbanne (Lyon) where he studied double bass, and took classes with musicians such as Pierre Baldy-Moulinier, Thierry Beaucoup, Gilbert Dojat. During his years in Lyon, Basile Rahola multiplied the experiences of stages and clubs in France, but then also internationally (Spain, Canary Islands, Belgium, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Slovakia, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Morocco ...).
After 3 years in Barcelona where he played and recorded with musicians such as Octavio
Hernández, David Xirgu, Gianni Gagliardi, Ancor Miranda, Albert Bover, Dani Perez, he continued his career as a musician in Brussels (Belgium) where he played with important musicians of the country (Jean-Paul Estievenart, Antoine Pierre, Lionel Beuvens, Diederick Wissels …) But above all with his main project Basile Rahola Quartet (Fresh Sound New Talent) and other groups such as Wajdi Riahi Trio, Yonatan Hes Trio, Tomas Rivera Trio, Armando Luongo «New Lands» ...
