In 1990 Fabrice ALLEMAN started his professional carreer as a musician, after his classical music studies (1st Prize chamber music, clarinet...) at the Royal Conservatory of Mons, and in jazz at the Brussels Conservatory with Steve HOUBEN, Jean-Louis RASSINFOSSE, Michel HATZIGEORGIOU, Richard ROUSSELET, etc...
Prior to entering the Brussels Conservatory, he had participated in a decisive jazz workshop with American saxophonist Tim RIES.
In 1992 he receives a First prize for sax, history etc...
That same year he attends a clinic at the Manhattan School of Music in New York with Phil WOODS, Toshiko AKIYOSHI, Steve SLAGLE, as well as private lessons with Ralph LALAMA.

Up to the present, he played different music styles (jazz, rock, funk, pop, etc.) He worked in the recording studios and on stage with a.o Salvatore ADAMO, William SHELLER, Calvin OWENS Blues Orchestra, Alain DES etc....).
But his main interest is clearly jazz music, and he had very soon the opportunity to play with some of the most prominent Belgian jazz musicians, such as : Steve HOUBEN, Richard ROUSSELET, Eric LEGNINI, Michel HERR, Paolo RADONI, Guy CABAY, Jean-Louis RASSINFOSSE, Jean WARLAND, Mary KAY, Bruno CASTELLUCCI etc...
Other important performances : in '97, he performed with US trumpet player Terence BLANCHARD in Luxemburg, with Garrett LIST & the New Belgian Big Band at the Jazz à Liège festival, and as a guest with Kenny WERNER at the Gaume Jazz festival .

He played in various festivals in Belgium and abroad, such as : the Blues festival of Groningen (The Netherlands), Jazz Middelheim (with Sax No End) in Antwerp, Liège, Brussels Jazz Rally, Gaume Jazz festival, Lundis d'Hortense, Audi Jazz, etc...

He founded a with guitarist Paolo LOVERI : many concerts and tours, a.o. in Nicaragua. Audi Jazz Festival opening for Larry CORYELL/Billy COBHAM.
. They recorded the CD and On the Funny Side of the Strings, the latter with a string quartet.

He gave concerts in Belgium and abroad, a live show in Köln (Germany) on WDR3, Terneuzen in The Netherlands, Schingart (Germany), radio recordings at the Belgian radio RTBF, etc...

He is currently very active on the Belgian jazz scene as well as in the studios and still occasionally in pop music (ADAMO, SAN SEVERINO, William SCHELLER etc...)

In '97, with his new , he received the Nicolas Dor Prize at the Liège festival.

The quartet CD " LOOP THE LOOP" was released in January '98 (Igloo Igl 136). It includes some excerpts from the acclaimed performance at the '97 Liège Festival, plus additional studio recordings.
In '98, in the Belgian jazz referendum organized by Belgian radios RTBF and VRT, the album was elected by the listeners Belgian record of the year and Fabrice ALLEMAN himself best Belgian soprano sax player. In the critics poll (French speaking), Fabrice was elected best Belgian soprano, best tenor sax player.

In '98 : Fabrice ALLEMAN played with his own in several festivals : the Festival of the Lundis d'Hortense in Brussels, Jazz à Liège '98, the Brussels Jazz Marathon and the Gaume Jazz Festival, Saint-Louis (Senegal), etc...
He performed with THE BRUSSELS JAZZ ORCHESTRA, ACT BIG BAND, ECAROH Quintet etc...
He did a tour and radio broadcasts in Belgium with the CHARLIER/ALLEMAN/SOURISSE trio, with organ player Benoît SOURISSE and drummer André CHARLIER.
In '99, 100th aniversary of Duke ELLINGTON, he played with Jean WARLAND's A TRAIN Sextet and SAX PORT.

In 2001, Fabrice ALLEMAN appears on the cd Jean-Pierre GEBLER Belgian All Stars : Meggie (Gam 917).

In 2003 he participates in the creation of the "Oratorio Ishango" (CD), written by Chris JORIS and Daniel SCHELL. He also plays duo concerts with guitarist Jacques PIROTTON.

Fabrice is also part of the Phil Abraham "Jazz Me Do" a happy tribute to the Beatles music where his clarinet passages are leaving a lingering impression.

His duo with bassist/arranger Jean WARLAND has appeared in several concerts and festivals and has recorded an album (to be released).

Fabrice ALLEMAN also presented other projects :

Duo ALLEMAN / LOVERI + string quartet (First appearance at the Gaume Jazz Festival '99). They have recorded the album On the Funny Side of the Strings (LYRAE), released in May 2001.

The Fabrice ALLEMAN ONE SHOT BAND played in several festivals, with Paolo LOVERI (gt), Jean-Pierre CATOUL or later Michel PIETERS (vl), Michel HERR (p/kb), Benoît VANDERSTRAETEN or Thierry FANFAN (el. bass) and Frédéric JACQUEMIN (drs) (First appearance at the Mons Cap Sud Festival '99, in which Fabrice had received a "carte blanche").

February 2004 marks the release of a new album of the Fabrice ALLEMAN Quartet :

The album is titled "" (Lyrae LY0414-C).
On 4 tracks, the nucleus of the quartet has been expanded with guests : Bert JORIS (tp) or Peter HERTMANS (gt), and a string quartet playing Fabrice's composition "Between You and me", arranged by Michel HERR.


Fabrice ALLEMAN has also a teaching experience in several schools (Académie de Baudour, Conservatoire de Bruxelles) and workshops.

In June 2006, the Fabrice Alleman quartet made a successful appearance with US trumpet player Randy Brecker during the "Jazz à Liège Festival" (TV recording).
