Miles Davis tribute program on RTBF Musiq3
To mark the centenary of Miles Davis's birth this Tuesday, May 26, 2026, RTBF Musiq3 presents a special 90-minute program. Recorded at Baixu (Tour & Taxis, Brussels), it looks back on the exceptional career of the trumpeter born on May 26, 1926. The story is narrated by trumpeter Richard Rouselet and set to music by a quintet composed of Jean-Paul Estiévenart (trumpet), Fabrice Alleman (saxophones), Pascal Mohy (piano), Doug Weiss (double bass), and Antoine Pierre (drums).
The program, presented by Arnaud Quittelier and François De Brigode, will be broadcast on Tuesday, May 26 at 6:30 p.m. on RTBF Musiq3 and at 10:00 p.m. on RTBF's jazz web radio, "Musiq3 Jazz." Numerous excerpts will also be broadcast on the show “Club Jazz” from May 25 to 29 starting at 10 p.m. on RTBF Musiq3.
