Double bass player Basile Rahola returns to the Jazz Station after two years to present his new quartet in the company of 3 outstanding musicians from the Franco-Belgian jazz scene. Drummer Pierre Hurty, saxophonist Matthias Van den Brande and pianist Wajdi Riahi. After the recording of a first disc entitled ‘Moment’ published by Fresh Sound New Talents, they will present you a new repertoire for the recording of the future album. This quartet offers music that pushes the dynamics to the extreme, giving enormous importance to nuances, from pianissimo to fortissimo, always with the sincerity and spontaneity of the musical discourse as the main subject.
