Jazz Station

Jazz Station

  • Address : Chaussée de Louvain 193a-195, 1210 Bruxelles, Belgique

Through an eclectic programme, renowned for its quality, this venue reaches the widest possible audience, which is quite different from the one we are used to seeing in our city's jazz clubs: the audience comes to listen to the music and behaves more like a theatre than a bar. In order to help promote jazz and to federate Brussels' energies and initiatives, the Jazz Station has been hosting the musicians' association "Les Lundis d'Hortense" for years and provides them with quality spaces that allow them to propose their work and their programming, every Wednesday evening, from October to the end of May. These two associations are nevertheless quite distinct, both in their programming and their functioning, and in the support they receive.

In its schedule of activities, the Jazz Station offers, among other things, a series of aperitif concerts every Saturday at 6 pm. This programme is always a great success, and is intended to be representative of today's jazz, but does not hesitate to return to the origins of this music. The weekly schedule is also filled with history classes, singing classes, swing dance parties, jam sessions, various cycles and partnerships as well as numerous public rehearsals.

The station also hosts exhibitions (photography, painting, etc.) always linked to the theme of jazz.
