Nicolas Chkifi (1981) is a drummer, composer and educator living in Brussels, Belgium.

He is currently leading GANG, a quartet with Augusto Pirodda, Gregor Siedl and Garif Telzhanov. This band recorded an album called Orange and Blue on the label Spocus records in spring 2014.

He is also co-leader of a duo called DOKO with Gregor Siedl. Here the music is totally improvised, composed in the moment. DOKO has released a recording on Spookhuis label in february 2015.

Nicolas Chkifi is a former member of BAMBEEN GREY, a quartet playing acoustic improvised music with Audrey Lauro, Frans van Isacker and Ann Eysermans. This quartet released a recording for the new label of Champ D action in 2013.

Nicolas Chkifi plays the drums and composed music for EDI OLVITT, a bassless trio with Mathieu Robert and Quentin Stokart. Their debut album « LOLO » came out early 2016 for Creative Sources label.

He is also a member of Antoine Guenet trio with Garif Telzhanov.

You can hear Nicolas Chkifi drumming as well with singer-song writer and pianist Susan Clynes. A first recording came out in 2015 on New York label s Moonjune.

Nicolas Chkifi played in many venues and festivals in Belgium and toured in Portugal, Spain, France, Germany and Sweden.

Since 2009, he is teaching drums and jazz combo in the music academy of Brussels and he is leading a dynamic percussion street band, called the Fanfakids since 2013.
