EDI OLVITT is a trio of three composers and improvisers based in Brussels. The group started in 2014 for a « carte blanche » to Mathieu Robert (Fatik, Harvest Group) in the well knowned jazz club called « Bravo ».

With his fellow friends Quentin Stokart (L'oeil Kollectif) on guitar and Nicolas Chkifi (Gang, Doko, Bambeen Grey) on drums this bassless trio brings a fresh sound to the Belgian jazz scene.

Since 2014, the music and the compositions evoluates and brings melody, contemplation but also contrast, energy and fire. Their music is influenced by Bill Frisell, Paul Motian, John Zorn, Steve Lacy,…

In January 2016, Edi Olvitt released his first album for the Portuguese label Creative Source.
