FNUSSJEN

Fnussjen was born from a ''carte blanche'' assigned to the drummer Nicolas Chkifi in the framework of the festival " The Week of Sound " in Brussels. To this end, he brought together some extraordinary musicians in an unusual lineup: the harpist Ann Eysermans (Champ d'Action), the violinist Ananta Roosens (Oba Loba), the pianist Christian Mendoza (Ben Sluys trio) and himself (known from 'Gang' and 'Edi Olvitt', among others) on drums.

Their music, meditative in character, sometimes folkloric as well as contemporary, is a sequence of miniature compositions written by the various members of the group and linked together by adventurous improvisations. 

Through its surprising music and original orchestration, Fnussjen produces a unique and intriguing sound.
