Machiel Heremans

Machiel is a guitar player and composer with work that puts emphasis on composition and the use of electronic effects. Machiel founded the bands ‘Abstract INC.’, a sextet that forms a symbiose between improvisations and compositions. and ‘Teddy’s Brain Drain’, a trio that focuses on simple melodies as a vessel for deeper storytelling. apart from this, he’s part of ‘No Wasabi’, a guitar-duo together with Rebekka Van Bockstal, and HEREMANS/SENSMEIER, where Machiel experiments with sounds, electronica and free improvisation.
