'Goodbye Big Idea', the first full-length album by Brussels jazz sextet 'Abstract INC.', takes you by the hand from the very first note. Willingly, guitarist Machiel Heremans and his five excellent musicians suck you into an alternative world of spacey landscapes, bright contrasts and intriguing characters. For the entire record, the six masterfully stumble over each other as they move forward in Heremans' layered compositions. The result is an eventful musical trip with excursions into jazz, rock and classical that will throw you slightly off balance.
