Geoffrey Fiorese

Geoffrey Fiorese

A hyperactive, multifaceted artist, Geoffrey Fiorese is not only a jazz pianist, improviser, composer, and arranger but also an electronic musician.

In June 2017, he graduated with high honors from the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Brussel, where he received the conservatory's top prize, the Toots Thielemans Jazz Award, following a brilliant concert performance for his final exam with his big band.

A natural leader, he has led numerous groups over the years (Geoffrey Fiorese Tentet, Big Band, quintet…) and has built a solid reputation in the jazz community. In 2014, he won the XL Jazz Contest with his quintet.

In 2018, he released his first album as a tentet, titled Dance, Blue Lady!, on the German label QFTF.
As the leader of Terpsichore, his quartet with Jarrett-inspired influences, he released an eponymous album in 2021, which was named a "jazz revelation" by Jazz Magazine.

Always in search of new musical horizons to explore, Geoffrey returned to studies in 2021, this time focusing on electronic music at the Koninklijk Conservatorium van Antwerpen. Today, he performs as a live-coding artist.

He regularly works as an arranger with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and teaches jazz harmony and arrangement at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.

Alongside his activities as a leader, Geoffrey Fiorese also maintains an active career as a sideman. Member of the group ODIL, he appears on their albums Something (2016), Réson (2018), and Unheimlich (2023). He can also often be heard with the Julien Marga 4tet.
