After spending twelve years in classical percussion at the CRD in Nîmes, vibraphonist Tristan Bernoud decided to move towards Jazz by joining Serge Lazarevitch's class at the CRR in Montpellier in 2020. There he very quickly met Egon Wolfson, a drummer who had grown up in New York, and Loïc Lengagne, a young pianist from Montpellier.

After a few concerts, notably with the “After Reception” Quintet notably at the Radio France Festival in Montpellier in 2022, and playing every day together, the trio decided to pursue higher studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels after obtaining their Diploma of Studies Musicals at the Montpellier Conservatory.

They will finally meet Gaspard Mathelin, a trumpeter already established in the Belgian capital, trained in Classical and Jazz at the CRR in Lille, and Scott Cizhou Huang, a young double bassist from China with whom musical and human cohesion will be obvious.

Creative leader, Tristan Bernoud composes original pieces that have already been acclaimed during concerts in several Brussels venues such as the Ascenseur or the Sounds Jazz Club.

The influences are important and varied, ranging from John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman to more contemporary musicians like the trumpeter and composer Ambrose Akinmusire, the saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins or the vibraphonist Joel Ross.

The music promises to captivate the listener, to take them on a colorful journey; the energy shared by the musicians on stage makes the room vibrate.
