Tristan Bernoud

Tristan Bernoud was born into a family of musicians; his two guitarist parents introduced him to Spanish, Latin, classical and baroque music from a very young age. At the age of eight he began classical percussion, a course he followed for twelve years at the Nîmes Conservatory and during which he fell under the spell of the vibraphone. There he also made his first steps in writing, arranging and composition. In 2020, arriving at the end of his classical training, Tristan decided to turn to Jazz, music that he wishes to discover, attracted by the feeling of freedom it gives him. He then entered the Regional Conservatory of Montpellier in the class led by Serge Lazarevitch. The meetings, the energy and the intense moments of music shared within this establishment will be decisive for the rest of its history.

After validating his Musical Studies Diploma, he continued his journey to the Belgian capital with several of his comrades, entering the Royal Conservatories.

It was in 2023 that the TB Project was born under the leadership of the vibraphonist. Noting a very strong chemistry between the musicians with whom he regularly plays, he began to write original pieces inspired by the music of John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Ornette Coleman...
