The Natasha Vew Quartet was born in 2025 as an extension of the quintet founded in January 2022. Described as “neo-hardbop” or “lyrical modern jazz,” Natasha Vew’s music retains its harmonic richness and rhythmic drive, while placing even more emphasis on musical interaction. Subtly arranged yet intentionally open, it constantly evolves with each performance.
Her memorable melodies, rooted in both classical and jazz traditions, captivate seasoned listeners and newcomers alike. The quartet continues the spirit of exploration and freedom initiated with the quintet, giving life to a music that is always being rewritten. Her main creative influences include Sean Jones, Wayne Shorter, Richie Beirach, Avishai Cohen, and McCoy Tyner.
