Analogik

“Analogik” is a quartet of original music, improvised music, of unique textures, sinuous melodies and maze-like rhythms.  It is a group that explores the art of counterpoint, of freedom and of rhythmic abstraction, and that imagines universes that are as easily created as they are destroyed; universes that predict, connect and distort the music initially conceived. 

Founded at the end of 2023 by bassist Zé Almeida, the quartet with Mariana Dionísio (vocals), Adèle Viret (cello) and Samuel Ber (drums) released their first album “Sístole” in 2024, exploring the writing and improvisation within a quite unusual constellation; at times a jazz trio, at others a quasi string quartet, and at others an improvisation ensemble, the group asserts itself as a constant metamorphosis, a systole on the way to its diastole, a Being in constant change, restless and permanently curious.
