Michel Seba Multicolore

When he was on tour with Alain Platel and Fabrizio Cassol’s « Requiem pour L », Michel Seba met the bass player Rodriguez Vangama, his partner with whom he developed a solid and creative rhythm section.

He then decided to launch a new project: Multicolore.

Thanks to his double-neck guitar (bass guitar/guitar), Rodriguez creates grooves as well as backing music, melodies or gimmicks inspired among others by Congolese tradition.

On the other hand, Michel designs a hybrid percussion setup that mixes drums and percussion components. It enables him to create moods, to groove, accompany, improvise and keep up the music as he wishes and loves to do it.

It seemed obvious to Michel that he had to enrich this duo with the euphonium player Niels Van Heertum who does not only improvise, offer a rhythmic playing but also plays melodies and has fun while creating sound textures using every little part of his instrument.

This project is also spiced up by the magic of the jazzman and multi-instrumentalist Bilou Doneux who enhances the music of our three mates sometimes with his guitar sometimes with percussions!

Thanks to this natural alchemy, Multicolore music invites the listener on a journey through the world and through him or herself; a hot, cross-cultural and polyrhythmic music good for the body and the soul.
