Nathan Surquin 4tet is a contemporary jazz group composed of four musicians from diverse cultures and backgrounds: Nathan Surquin on trombone, Wajdi Riahi on piano, Federico Stocchi on double bass, and Daniel Jonkers on drums.

Our music, both sensitive and dynamic, highlights the dialogue between cultures, shared emotions and human encounters. The album Ambre evokes these moments of connection: a meeting over coffee, a budding romance, an exchange between a father and his daughter... all fragments of life that we translate into sound.

The richness of this project lies in the diversity of its musicians, each bringing their own cultural influences to the ensemble. Coming from different corners of the world, they fuse their origins to create a coherent sound that is as deep as it is distinctive. It is this alchemy — this fusion of cultures, histories and experiences — that gives Ambre its unique voice!
