Gaume Jazz Festival : les Fanfakids

A youthful, impactful, festive, and unusual project

This group of young people (6-18 years old) transforms their youthful enthusiasm into infectious rhythms: music, dance, and good vibes!

The Fanfakids are a group of children (6-18 years old) who transform their youthful enthusiasm into infectious rhythms. They offer a metropolitan mix of music and dance, sharing their good vibes with confidence!

The Fanfakids are celebrating their 25th anniversary! Created during the very first Zinneke Parade in 2000, the group has since become known far beyond the country's borders as a fully-fledged urban education project, seamlessly blending into an artistic production.

In collaboration with Urban Center Brussels, schools, and other partners, Fanfakids is continually expanding its activities: offerings are being expanded to include breakdancing, children's programs are being expanded, and different generations are being educated. Since its inception, MetX has been responsible for production, distribution, and artistic support.

Over the years, they have established close relationships with various percussion, dance, and theater groups in Africa (Guinea, Ghana) and Europe (Prague, Rotterdam, Bologna, and others via Erasmus+). Together, they regularly participate in exchange programs. Discover the disarming energy of these young Brussels ambassadors!

Fanfakids is a MetX project in collaboration with Urban Center Brussels, supported by the National Lottery and its players. Originally created in partnership with D'Broej (WMKJ Centrum West), a number of schools, youth centers, and other partners are currently involved in organizing rehearsals and facilitating the flow of young people.
