Gaume Jazz : Chrystel Wautier

Gaume Jazz : Chrystel Wautier

Gaume Jazz 2024 will host a residency of the Belgian singer Chrystel Wautier – a little girl of Ukrainian immigrants who found themselves in the middle of various conflicts – which will be punctuated by creation of «Résonances» by a wonderful team of 6 musicians that she managed to embark on her new adventure with more pop flavors: Chrystel Wautier, Jill Suykerbuyk and Marie Delsaux in the vocals, Cédric Raymond (Double bass) Lorenzo Di Maio (guitar) and Jérôme Klein (keys and drums)

Chrystel about “Résonances”:

In these turbulent times, three singers unite their voices to rise above the polemics and when everything constantly asks to choose a side, they are found: Love, tolerance and gentleness.

Chrystel Wautier accompanied by his long-time friends Cédric Raymond, Lorenzo Di Maio and Jérôme Klein are embarking on a new challenge, that of welcoming two other singers, Jill Suikerbuyk and Marie Delsaux.

Coming from different musical worlds such as jazz, pop and folk, these three women have as common point of development the knowledge of self, the relationship to each other, Spiritual elevation, the deep work of sound vibration and how this work can help in transformation and impact the world.

Sometimes it takes a little lightness to get through strong emotions. Offering a music full of hope and freshness free from all conformism, the voice of Chrystel, with its incredible sweetness and clarity, will be the vector of this creation surrounded by musicians as sensitive as she. Attention: the singer will often tear us to eye, whether it is happiness or melancholy.
