February 21st, 2023 is Mardi Gras Day!

Join the Krewe du Belge's Second Line* and their fanfare tour of downtown jazz cafés.

Dress up, and go to the pedestrian area of ​​the Brussels-City Center which will host the very first Second Line* Jazz New Orleans in Brussels.

With the musicians of Krewe du Belge, accompanied by the brilliant brass band NO Pareto (Ghent).

7 p.m.: Gathering at Café Roskam

The Roskam is a café known for its beers and gin and tonics, its warm atmosphere and its good program of jazz concerts on Sunday evenings.

8 p.m.: gathering at L'Archiduc

*What is a Second Line?

This is a New Orleans brass band parade tradition. The "Main Line" (first line) is made up of musicians who march while playing. The "Second Line" is made up of the audience following the musicians enjoying the music, singing and dancing. This Second Line audience has a very important role, they are part of the show. Ideally, they are disguised, made up and wave umbrellas or white handkerchiefs. We count on you.
