Do we need to introduce Henri Texier? He is undoubtedly one of the popes of French jazz and has been rolling his hump for more than 60 years on all the stages of the blue planet. It would make no sense to list here his bio, his discography, the list of his projects, the names of the musicians with whom he has had the pleasure of playing his jazz, the thousands of articles or reports that have been devoted to him: a book would be needed!
One thing is certain: as is the case with all the greats, one recognises Henri Texier's touch as soon as he starts strumming his double bass. And his compositions are also his own and recognisable from the first note.
A French jazz genius at the Club: let's hear it!
