Jazz&mo' #30 - FEEST

In this Jazz&mo' we're having a party! With exuberant songs to which your dancing legs will spontaneously start moving. With festive editions of festivals, labels and jazz competitions. With funky end-of-year questions. With DJs and caricaturists. And... with a pearly Jazz&mo' edition. We won't let that pass in silence! Are you among the thirty lucky ones who will find a golden ticket in his thirtieth Jazz&mo'?

On the cover: Brazzmatazz, the eighteen-piece brass band that always builds a steampunky party. Olga Moiseeva infects readers with the lindy hop virus. We look back on 45 years of Jazz Hoeilaart/B-Jazz. Boogie Phil swings away behind his piano. The Honky Tonk jazz club in Dendermonde celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2025. Dj Dick d'Alaise gets everyone on the dance floor. Filip Verneert celebrates in an academic way. The label Mokuhi Sonorities turned one year old. And Jazz&mo's editorial team answers jolly end-of-year questions.

And further: Maarten Weyler builds a cryptic party. Lieven Keymolen talks about Walter Melrose's Doctor Jazz in his 'Jazz Poetry'. Elias D'hooge, Anaïs Vijgen and Soet Kempeneer of Équi are young and wonderful. Marvin Israel is the new 'Cover artist'. Klarafestival presents its twentieth edition. We review a new batch of albums. Mattias De Craene drew inspiration for his new album from the cult film The Holy Mountain. Leon Lhoëst crawls into Christmas mode. Caricaturist Roger Verlinden conjured the coverboys and girls of the past 29 Jazz&mo's from his pencil. And we look forward to the next thirty Jazz&mo's!
