The new quartet “OLA TUNJI” explores the direction in which musical interaction becomes a powerful, expressive whole. Its members met and began playing together before the summer of 2023, then united in the passion each felt for the spiritual and musical life of John Coltrane. Elevating themselves to compose, to express their personal form of music through improvisation, they play for love, compassion, joy, serenity, as meditations and prayers that bring them back to a deeper humanity in music. OLA TUNJI released its debut EP “Untitled EP” on September 27, 2024. It has already received much positive feedback (appearance on Canadian radio station “One Man's Jazz”, press article on “All About Jazz”, listing of the EP in the “Spiritual Jazz Revival” category on Bandcamp Daily, digital success...). The members are eager to record their first album, already in the making.
