The Gödel Codex is the result of a meeting between three Belgian musicians from the jazz, rock and electro scenes. Led by Michel Delville (The Wrong Object, Machine Mass, ...), Antoine Guenet (Univers Zero) and Etienne Plumer (Steppe, Rêve d'Elephant, ...), the trio brings together a variety of musical approaches, its original compositions being influenced as much by Miles Davis as by Radiohead or Robert Wyatt. Their debut album, OAK (Off/MoonJune Records, 2019), features melodic vocals and dreamy imagery underpinned by explosive bass and powerful riffs. Unanimously praised by the critics (see below), the album's compositions alternate between moments of raw intensity and more atmospheric, melodic passages. This contrast is reinforced by the precise instrumentation, where the often syncopated guitars and drums blend with subtle keyboards and immersive electronic textures.

This year, The Gödel Codex are offering a new repertoire that will form the core of their next album, due for release at the end of 2025. For this new project they have enlisted trumpeter Laurent Blondiau, a well-known figure in jazz and progressive music (Mâäk's Spirit, Andy Emler MegaOctet, etc.), with whom they continue to explore the paths of dense, hypnotic music blending elements of jazz, post-rock and electro. On the programme: dreamlike soundscapes, powerful grooves and eclectic riffs.
