In the best of jazz traditions, by gathering a solid rhythmic yet drumless section, Michel Paré offers a series of original compositions and arrangements, ranging from swing to Latin, roaming across a few ballads. A repertoire developed throughout the last ten years, together with ensembles from big band (with the Jazz Station Big Band) to smaller ones, like quartets. Weaving the threads of jazz standards with those of hard bop among others, the universe he introduces us is a rich tapestry of harmonic colors and melodies, with a large contribution left to improvisation and the complicité of Paolo Loveri's guitar and Boris Schmidt's double bass.
