German jazz pianist Julia Hülsmann is back in Flagey with her quartet to present her brand new album The Next Door on ECM. The group will treat us to an entirely new repertoire. The music of this 'poetess of German jazz' is characterised by a deep respect for the post-bop and modal jazz tradition of the 1960s. It inspires this extraordinary quartet to create highly expressive solos and intense music.
