David LINX has been featured in papers and magazines like "The International Herald Tribune", "The Wall Street Journal", "Time Magazine", "Jazz Magazine", "Jazz In Time", "Post Magazine" and others.
In 1996 David LINX was nominated for the Django d'Or in France for the category best jazz singer, together with Abbey LINCOLN and Cassandra WILSON.
In '98, David LINX was again nominated, this time with Diederik WISSELS in Paris (category vocal jazz).
And in '99, their album Bandarkah (Label Bleu) has been selected among the three nominees for the French Django d'Or '99, in the category "Europe".
In '98, David LINX has been nominated in the vocal category of the Victoires de la Musique in France, for his CD with Diederik WISSELS, "Up Close" (Label Bleu LBLC6586), next to Dee Dee BRIDGEWATER and Diana KRALL.
In the Belgian jazz referendum organized by Belgian radios RTBF and VRT, David LINX was elected best vocalist of the year '98 in the categories Belgium and Europe.

In 1985, just short of his 20th birthday, he sparked significant interest in Europe and the US with his album "A Lover's Question" dedicated to the author James Baldwin and recorded with Pierre Van Dormael, Steve Coleman, Slide Hampton, Viktor Lazlo and Deborah Brown. The album, re-released on Label Bleu in 2000, received widespread critical acclaim.
In 1992, David joined up with Diederik Wissels and together they have performed regularly as a duet or quartet formation, achieving growing notoriety with both press and public. Their complicity and respective talent and personnalities have guaranteed them a place at the forefront of the European jazz scene.
In 1996 they released "Up Close" on Label Bleu and were nominated for a Django d'Or in 1996, '97 and '98, and for the Victoires de la Musique in 1998. "Bandarkâh", released in 1998, earned the Jazzman Choc des Chocs award.
In 2000, David wrote the lyrics for Maurane's English repertoire and recorded as a duet with her on the Sol En Si album.
He later signed with Polydor/Universal, and wrote "L'instant d'après", a brilliant collection of French songs, praised by the public and press (CHOC award from Monde de la Musique, "a masterpiece… " Le Nouvel Observateur….)
"Heartland" was released at the end of 2001 by Universal (it was awarded a Jazzman CHOC rating). The album, a skillful blend of classical music and jazz, is the fruit of a long collaboration between David Linx and Diederik Wissels. It also features the trumpet-player Paolo Fresu, along with the legendary ECM percussionist, Palle Danielsson, Jon Christensen and a string quartet.
The Quartet Linx - Wissels album "This Time" has received a "CHOC DES CHOCS" in the French magazine JAZZMAN.
