An organisation of the Maison du Jazz en Hainaut in collaboration with the Maison des Jeunes de Binche.

"My dream was to go back and play in Urbino, where my family is from. As luck would have it, the famous drum teacher Dante Agostini comes from the same region. In 2021, I was invited to open a school named after him in Mercatello, the village where he was born. The organizer offered me to give a concert there the following year. Jean-François Prins, Vincent Bruyninckx, Bo Waterschoot and I ended up there. The concert was magical! So much so that we promised ourselves to continue in this formula after our return. 2024: Change of decade for Bruno and release of a new album "Legacy". A new project for one of the most prolific drummers of his generation. It will be available during this evening.

There was a lack of a book to evoke the remarkable career of one of the most (re)known drummers on the international music scene. Michel Mainil did it! Careers, encounters, anecdotes and a thousand other words around the man who has rubbed shoulders with thousands of musicians, from the most modest to the greatest. "Itinerary of a sideman" will be at your disposal during this evening at the price of 25 €. Published by Bossa Flor, it bears witness, throughout its 294 pages interspersed with illustrations, of his rich career in the service of music.

What a long way we've come since the recording in 1961 of "Exciting Blues" with André Brasseur!

For this "Legacy" project, Bruno has surrounded himself with three other big names: Jean-François Prins, who has just recorded an album in New York, Vincent Bruyninckx, the pianist of the famous Brussels Jazz Orchestra and Bo Waterschoot who has performed in the U.S.A., Canada and Europe with his bass guitar. What a beautiful crowd!
