Elsiris Imprints album release

Elsiris, founded by the talented pianist Jasmien Geijsels from Aarschot, is a captivating contemporary jazz trio consisting of piano, flugelhorn, and drums.

Their repertoire features original compositions by Jasmien, with influences from Scandinavia. As bandleader and pianist, she brings melancholic, sometimes fragile melodies to life, making thoughtful use of silence and space that gently leads the listener and makes time fade away. The music can also be powerfully intense when needed. Pierre-Antoine Savoyat enchants with his warm flugelhorn sounds and unique electronic effects, adding beautiful colors and soundscapes that give the music an extra layer of depth. Élie Goulème's drumming complements the band's sound beautifully, providing both subtle and bold, lively rhythms. Together, they form a cohesive whole where improvisation can be both playful and profound.

On November 10, 2023, Elsiris released their debut album *Imprints* on SONNA Records, with renowned pianist and composer Diederik Wissels as the producer. He also contributes to the album as a guest musician, along with Taiwanese vocalist Tsai-Wen Hui.

Each track on the album leaves a lasting impression, with compositions evolving over time like characters with layered personalities. Some pieces are shrouded in mystery, while others embody deep connections with nature and the bonds between people.
