W.E.R.F. records: 30th anniversary

Bruges jazz label W.E.R.F. records - short for Wasted Energy Record Factory - was founded in 1993 as a one-time support for Bruges pianist Kris Defoort. 30 years later, the seemingly endless list of musicians who have appeared on the label reads like an encyclopedic survey of Belgian jazz. Just think of pioneers such as Kris Defoort, Brussels Jazz Orchestra or Robin Verheyen (TaxiWars). But also the youngest wave of trailblazers like Vitja Pauwels, MDCIII, Karen Willems, PAARD., Dorian Dumont or schntzl draw present. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, AB is honoring the label with a real two-day event.
