. Ozaín quartet is an opportunity for the four musicians to express themselves equally: as a soloist or in joyful collective impovisions. The melodies always lead, in powerful unisons or sophisticated counterpoints. Bass, trombone and sax start a conversation and make you forget the absence of harmonic instrument. Ozaín Quartet is a pretext to play around the compositions of the leading bassist, mixing his different influences: modern-jazz of course but also tango, Indian scales, African rhythms ... Even a nod to baroque music! Ozaín Quartet is the permission to override certain rules if the music asks for it, if it feels good.
