Diederik Wissels, Ana Rocha & Nicolas Kummert

An unusual trio travelling through multiple universes. For their debut  album—to be released in fall 2025—the Wissels-Rocha-Kummert trio explores new sonic landscapes. The result is a rich and eclectic music where symbiosis, sensitivity, and lyricism are the defining traits of this new repertoire.

Having already worked together on several albums, these three musicians know each other well, and it shows. Ana Rocha's heavenly voice intertwines with Diederik Wissels's captivating piano, while Nicolas Kummert's saxophone playing enriches this sonic fusion. The music, both expressive and cinematic, underscores and enriches the tales told in English and Portuguese—stories of loss, doubt, and a search for light, eyes lifted toward the skies. At the crossroads of jazz, classical music, and folk, the trio's repertoire blends electronic and improvised elements, giving it a sometimes dreamy, sometimes unsettling quality. A chiaroscuro music that remains open, fragile, and often minimalist.
