Odyssée 14

jazz & literature - Rêve d'éléphant Orchestra revisits music and texts from the 14th century to the present day in the spirit of Antoine Lavoisier's nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.

To do this, he welcomes two other artists: Thierry Devillers, actor-singer and David Hernandez, singer-dancer.

Jazz-dance-reading-singing are part of the palette of colours of this show freely inspired by authors and composers such as Jacopo da Bologna, Stravinsky, Messiaen, Marais, Shakespeare, Faulkner, Rimbaud, Picasso, Kerouac, Montaigne, Burroughs...

The group has drawn on multiple influences to create its own compositions and arrangements. It is a matter of absorption and impregnation leading to the creation of a repertoire of its own and contemporary, the idea is not to offer a music or literature history lesson, but rather a great musical, visual and poetic journey where the spectator is invited to lose his historical, musical and literary references in a new timeless jungle of an imaginary continent.
