Where Gold Breaks is the latest project by the Attilio Sepe Group, released by Wow Records. The album explores a personal blend of electronic jazz, serialism, and radical improvisation through compositions by Attilio Sepe, with a strong focus on microtonality — especially the use of quarter tones — expanding the ensemble’s expressive and sonic possibilities.

The repertoire combines original pieces such as Nuvla, Magician’s Spirit, and Meaning of My Name with free improvisations including Into The Darkness, Out Of The Light and Contracted, alongside a reinterpretation of Weights Waits for Weights by Steve Coleman, paying tribute to one of the most influential figures in contemporary creative music.

The group features Attilio Sepe on saxophone, Marco Marcelletti on Fender Rhodes, Federico Pecoraro on electric bass, and Gert-Jan Dreessen on drums.
