Pascal MICHAUX is one of the most swinging pianists in Belgium.

But he is also a talented multi-instrumentalist, as he also plays organ, saxophone, clarinet, electric bass and sings !

Completely self-taught, he sang, played drums, saxes and bass with some bands in night-clubs, dancing ballrooms and Jazz clubs until age 19.

He spent some time touring with pop artists such : Tom JONES, James LAST, "L'Orchestre du Splendid", Michel LEGRAND and Tom BROWNE's Funk Company, and went to Italy, his families origin country to play with Adriano CELENTANO, Matia BAZAR, Gianni MORANDI, Lucio DALLA, Eros RAMAZOTTI, Lucio BATTISTI and ZUCHHERO.

Following some cruises on Mediterranean and Carribean seas, Pascal MICHAUX made tours in Europe with jazz artists such as Gianni BASSO, Bob MOVER, Bill SKEAT, Deborah BROWN (CD), Judy NIEMACK, Art FARMER, Bruce ADAMS, Toots THIELEMANS, Johnny GRIFFIN, Reggie JOHNSON, Alvin QUEEN, Mark MURPHY, Kim PARKER, Benny BAILEY, Sonny COSTANZO, Al GREY, Jay CAMMERON, Dany DORIZ, Dusko GOYKOVICH, Roger VANHAVERBEKE, Freddy ROTTIER (for 5 consecutive years), Bruno CASTELLUCCI, Caterina VALENTE, Marc FOSSET, Denise JANNAH, Yvan MARCSSON's Feetwarmers, Scott HAMILTON, Bebby BAILEY, Clio LAINE and many other well known names in jazz.

He also write music, such as arrangements for classical ballet and modern ballets (Monette LOZA, Alvin AILEY).

He created in 1983 in Paris with Jimmy Mc GRIFF the famous Hammond Swing Machine which he converted in Belgium with Dirk VAN DER LINDEN and Dirk DERGENT.

He plays tenor sax and clarinet on the "Tribute to Gene Krupa" with Pete YORK, Bruce ADAMS, Alan BARNES, Len SKEAT, Brian DEE, Roy WILLIAMS and Val WISEMAN in Ireland, England, Germany and Luxembourg.

He currently plays with Pete YORK's Jazz All Stars, Dany DORIZ, co-leading a quintet with Bruce ADAMS.

He also plays with the band THE SWING DEALERS.

In the pop field, he is also still writing arrangements or playing with and for Johnny HALLIDAY, Michel FUGAIN, MAURANE and Mariah CAREY.

Pascal MICHAUX is known for his swinging piano style, sometimes reminiscent of Oscar PETERSON or Monty ALEXANDER. He also presents his own trio.
