Henri Greindl

Henri GREINDL studied to become an engineer, informatician and studied music, too.

He plays the electric bass and the guitar, is active in many groups, in which he likes to combine South American, African roots with Western musical languages.

He played with many jazz musicians and bands.

He studied arrangement and film scoring un the US at the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles.

He composes for film, theater and wrote arrangements for many singers and many albums.
He wrote and recorded music for several films and shows in New-York and in Europe, a.o. "BEAU FIXE" (Christian VINCENT, 1992).

In Belgium, he founds his own band, CHEIRO DE CHORO, a.o. with Brazilian flute player Beto CAVALCANTE.

Recently, he participated in the Brazilian flavoured , with Charles LOOS (p), Anne WOLF (kb), Pierre BERNARD (fl) and Jan DE HAAS (drs), and produced and recorded the band's album, Parfum Latin, released in May 2000.

Henri GREINDL also teaches the guitar in various private schools.
