Peter VERHAEGEN studied at the Jazz Studio in Antwerp, electric bass at the Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA), and acoustic bass at the Conservatory of Brussels and the Lemmens Instituut in Leuven (B), a.o. with Philippe AERTS.

In the field of classical music, he worked for 5 years in the orchestra of the Royal Ballet of Flanders.

In the pop field, he played as a free-lance musician with a.o. Jean BOSCO (Kid) Safari, Jo LEMAIRE, Dirk JORIS, Flip JORDENS and an ensemble around singer Nina.

In the field of jazz, he had the opporunity to play with Frank VAGANÉE (sax), the BRUSSELS JAZZ ORCHESTRA, Christoph ERBSTOESSER, Dré PALLEMAERTS.

Peter VERHAEGEN is a member of

the HIGH VOLTAGE Sextet with a.o. trumpet player Nico SCHEPERS

the Bart VAN CAENEGEM trio with pianist Bart VAN CAENEGEM and drummer Lieven VENKEN.

He is a memebr of "The Bones"
