Between '71 - '74, Guy RAIFF took classic guitar lessons at the Brussels Royal Conservatory. He is self-taught jazz guitarist, and now he teaches at various workshops, at the Wavre Academy and at Grez-Doiceau from 1971 - 1983.

He has played a.o. with Charles LOOS, Steve HOUBEN, Toots THIELEMANS, Lou BENNETT, Jean-Louis RASSINFOSSE, Gordon BRISKER, Bert JORIS, Gianni BASSO,...

He was selected by Charles LOOS for his record dedicated to Belgian composers ("Estepona" - Igloo 023).

Has participated as guitarist and arranger in the recording of the Phil ABRAHAM CD "Phil Abraham Quartet".

Recorded with the BRT Jazzorkest for the radio and television.

Composes and produces music for shows "Crazy Blues Circus Théâtre" and "Fables Rondes et Contes à rebours" by the Compagnie pour Rire.

Recorded his own album in trio "On Line" with as guests pianist Charles LOOS and trumpeter Art FARMER (Pavane Records ADW 7268).

Participated as arranger - artistic director in the production of CD of Sharon HARRIS-VINCENT "Golden Goddess" (Sharmila Production 10489).
Currently, composes for l'Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels de la Cambre (animated films)
Teacher at the Jazz Academy in Overijse (guitar & ensembles).
Plays in numerous concerts : "all around" musician , he works with the most diversified groups with the most versatile repertoires.
