Julien Plateau begins his instrumental training in 2020 at the age of 16, after listening to the album "Maiden Voyage" by Herbie Hancock. He then perfected his musical education with Mathieu De Wit until his admission to the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where he now studies with Éric Legnini and Vincent Bruyninckx.
Since 2022, Julien has had the opportunity to perform in emblematic venues of Belgian jazz such as the Sounds, the Jazz Station or the Roskam, as well as at different festivals such as the Lotto Brussels Jazz Weekend or the Dour Festival with various projects.
