Open Calls for Artists : Prix David Ostromooukhov

The David Ostromooukhov Prize continues to make history and returns for its third edition to the welcoming stage of Le Solar in Saint-Étienne.

In memory of David Ostromooukhov, a young double bass player who died at the age of 23, the association Les Nouveaux Fabulistes was created to organise a music competition for young French-speaking jazz double bass players.

The aim? To reward and showcase musicians at the start of their careers. The project was born from the simple idea that David was still very much alive in people's memories, and that the passion for music remained alive from one generation to the next.

The 2026 edition is now open! Are you a jazz double bass player under the age of 30?
