Bart Defoort & Victor Da Costa Quartet

The “Bart Defoort & Victor Da Costa Quartet” has been in existence for 20 years.

Bart and Victor share a keen interest and passion for the music created by the musicians and composers of the 1940s to the 1960s. This musical language, with its blend of blues, bebop and modal jazz, still resonates today across a wide variety of jazz styles.

Victor and Bart’s quartet uses this inspiration as a springboard for their own compositions, their own creative improvisations and their musical dialogues.

The quartet’s repertoire consists of a mix of original compositions, pieces by some jazz legends and standards from the ‘American Songbook’.

The creative and joyful interaction between these four experienced musicians is a real pleasure to watch and experience.
