Jazzathome: Groovosophers

Formed in March 2023, the Kraków-based band Groovosophers is a rising force on the jazz/fusion scene and is rapidly gaining recognition thanks to its energetic and versatile music. The band’s sound is a dynamic blend of jazz, blues, funk and groove, enriched with intriguing klezmer and Balkan influences, often exploring unusual time signatures.

The band is currently working on a live double album on vinyl, recorded during a concert in November as part of their Polish tour with Satish Robertson on trumpet (Brooklyn/USA and the James Carter Quintet).

The band released a critically acclaimed debut album in March 2025. In the summer of 2025, the band embarked on an international tour with Satish, playing 10 concerts in 11 days across 7 countries (including 4 festivals).
