Far Fare - Reggae Geel
- Start date : 01/08/2026 14:00
- Type : Concert
- Address : Reggae Geel, Malosewaver, Geel, Belgium
🔥 An experimental mini marching band in trio: accordion, percussion and brass — built to move, play anywhere, and pull a crowd in fast.
🔥They improvise across styles, sliding from acoustic dub and reggae into balkan, gypsy swing, bossa and musette — always as one own repertoire.
🔥The line-up is led by top Belgian scene musicians (incl. Piet Maris on accordion, Théophane Raballand on percussion, with trumpet/brass in the front line).
🔥They can switch the vibe on the spot: discreet background groove or full interactive street session, depending on the energy in front of them.
Far Fare is what happens when a street band thinks like a sound system: groove first, bass-feel even without the stack, and a vibe that spreads in circles. In trio formation — accordion, percussion and brass — they turn any space into a moving little universe where people stop walking, start smiling, and then somehow end up dancing.
Their strength is the freedom. Far Fare don’t stick to one lane: they improvise, stretch tunes, flip rhythms, and travel from acoustic dub and reggae into balkan heat, bossa sway and musette sweetness without forcing the transitions. It stays light on its feet, but never lightweight — the musicianship is real, and the timing is sharp.
This is perfect festival glue: the kind of act that makes the site feel alive, connects crowds without a big setup, and leaves a trail of good vibes behind them.
