Ivan Paduart and Patrick Deltenre have forged a musical partnership spanning more than 30 years. Clearly, they share a keen sense of melody, which is expressed in a clear, fluid, almost aerodynamic line. Some themes stick in the mind like a song, while others reveal Chick Corea-esque accents or invite the listener to engage in meditation that is sometimes joyful, sometimes subtly radiant. Far from any display of virtuosity, emotion is at the heart of Ivan Paduart and Patrick Deltenre's music.
