Fearless Five is the new project from Enrico Rava — a bold quintet made up of a new generation of musicians, blending youthful creative energy with the immense experience of its legendary leader.
Once again, Rava has succeeded in forming a fresh and exciting ensemble. The Fearless Five features a lineup of remarkable young talents: Matteo Paggi on trombone (Rava’s latest discovery from the Siena Jazz seminars), the driving force of Francesco Ponticelli on double bass, the extraordinary drummer and vocalist Evita Polidoro, and the ever-reliable guitarist Francesco Diodati, a key figure in Rava’s recent formations for the past ten years and the true gravitational center of this fearless jazz quintet.
