By investigating the mysterious disappearance of a virtuoso Brazilian pianist on the eve of the 1976 coup d'état in Argentina, They shot the piano player paints a portrait of the Golden Age of Brazilian jazz and bossa nova before the country fell under the spell of totalitarianism.
