BXL x LDN Interplay

 BXLxLDN Interplay: New International Collaboration between Tomorrow's Warriors (UK) and Brosella Festival (Belgium) This project brings together three emerging talents from Tomorrow's Warriors with three of their Belgian counterparts to develop a set of original compositions. London is represented by Maddy Coombs (saxophone), Luke Bacchus (piano), and Menelik Claffey (bass). From Brussels, Diogo Alexandre (drums), Lúcia Pires (flute), and Eliott Knuets (guitar) are part of this exciting sextet. These six young musicians will be guided during their four-day residency at Brussels' MetX by Binker Golding, Belgian pianist Bram De Looze, and drummer Stéphane Galland. After this intense residency, their debut performance will take place at the Brosella Spring Festival on Thursday, March 7 at La Vallée in Molenbeek, with additional performances planned for the Brick Lane Jazz Festival in London on April 28, the Brosella Festival in Brussels on July 7, and Gilles Peterson's We Out Here Festival on August 17. Gary Crosby, co-founder of Tomorrow's Warriors, explains: "Collaboration is always at the heart of what makes jazz so exciting. Jazz perfectly allows new groups of people from different backgrounds to come together and create new music."
