In the spring of 2020, the whole world was in slow motion, and we were kindly asked to stay at home. Venues and clubs were closed and live music took the virtual route of the screens to reach its audience.

Meanwhile, Laurent took advantage of this imperative break to get back to the essentials of his work: strengthening his instrumental practice and writing music. Soon enough, these new compositions formed a repertoire, particularly suited to the soul jazz quartet: sax - guitar - double bass - drums. As soon as it was once again possible to bring four musicians and their instruments together in the same room, Laurent called on his partners of choice to bring to life and share this music born in isolation. If it still carries a few melancholy accents, it expresses above all the joy of reunion. expresses the joy of reunion and the simple pleasure of playing together.
