Ilya Dynov is an extraordinary Belgian drummer who has been living in New York for several years. He is active in the New York jazz scene and has played in clubs such as 55 Bar, Bar Next Door, Fat Cat.
He has toured New Orleans and played in major festivals in Europe such as Bohemia Jazz Fest, Vilnius Mama Jazz, Sfinks Mixed and many others.
He has been described in the press as virtuoso, fantastic, amazing.
His first album "Bridges" will be released in April 2023. The album contains a mix of compositions for trio and quartet. World-class musicians play on the recording. Incredible New York trumpeter Alex Norris known for big bands such as the Vanguard and Mingus BigBand, legendary bassist Lonnie Plaxico who played with Art Blakey and Cassandra Wilson, among others, and talented emerging New York pianist Jihee Heo, who also produced the album. Ilya Dynov handles the drums and compositions.
During this concert, Ilya will present his music in a trio accompanied by the best musicians of Brussels Casimir Liberski on piano and Jasen Weaver on double bass.
